Perfect birthday getaway!
We spent 2 nights celebrating my partner's bday, and wow! The house is stunning and the gardens are so chill. Uta was super helpful with tips for local eats. The breakfast was scrumptious! Only slight bummer was the shower had a bit of low pressure, but seriously loved our stay here.

ideal base for exploring melrose's stunning abbeys and gardens
We enjoyed our weekend stay, with Melrose Abbey just less than a 5-minute walk away and the beautiful Harmony Garden almost 2 km from the B&B, making it so easy to stroll around and take in the sights at our own pace.

The Superior Double Room was super comfy! The bed was really cozy, and I slept like a baby. The decor was charming and gave a homely vibe. A nice touch was the beautiful garden view right outside. Just a bit of a trek for fresh milk, which was a minor inconvenience. a really nice place to stay.

A small fridge in the room would be helpful.

The Thai food nearby was a culinary revelation, and Uta's breakfasts were an absolute feast! Fresh fruit plates and cooked-to-order delights made our mornings memorable. Plus, the beautiful gardens offered the perfect backdrop to start the day.
A tad cheeky, but fresh milk was downstairs in the kitchen—nice, but a bit of a trek early in the AM! A mini fridge upstairs would have been a nice touch.

beautiful gardens, exquisite framing, senior-friendly accessibility
Not having a fridge in the room is a hassle!!! A trek to get fresh milk from the kitchen downstairs is inconvenient, especially when you need it early or late!!! Payment options could also be improved for overseas guests!!!

Couple's dream getaway!
The breakfasts were very nice! Seriously, Uta makes this amazing fruit platter that's a work of art before serving up your choice of cooked breakfast. Plus, the views from the terrace at breakfast just about knocked me off my feet. It felt like you were living in a painting.
Look, it wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but honestly, it was worth every penny.

Delicious breakfasts and beautiful gardens!
During my stay, I was absolutely blown away by the incredible breakfasts that included a stunning fruit platter and cooked-to-order options. Uta's passion for hospitality made me feel at home, and the picturesque gardens were the perfect backdrop for a relaxing start to the day. Though I wished for a mini fridge in the room for convenience, the overall experience was still fantastic.

An incredible stay for my partner's birthday! Breakfasts were a highlight, especially the imaginative fruit platter and succulent cooked dishes. The only slight downside was the room's lack of extra amenities and limited storage space, but the comfort of the beds made up for it.
